Entries open as the Whittlesea Show approaches

THIS year the Whittlesea Show promises an exciting blend of beloved traditions and fresh innovations.

Mark your calendars for the weekend of November 2 and 3.

Entries have now opened, and anyone can participate – even your dog, as the Fun Dog Show returns on the Saturday with prizes available for the biggest dog, most unusual, and dog that looks most like it’s owner, among others.

Regardless of age or skill level, competitions are available to you as a novice or experienced exhibitor in all sections of the show, from art and photography, to homecrafts, horses, livestock, horticulture and more.

Entries in the sheep, produce and cattle sections are eligible for the sought-after City of Whittlesea perpetual trophy.

On Sunday, headline entertainer Taylor Moss, will wow the crowd.

An exciting new star who has made waves on the mainstage at CMC Rocks and has recently rocked live shows in the UK and the legendary CMA Festival in Nashville, Taylor’s performance is sure to be a highlight of the weekend.

New rides, simulators, workshops and attractions, and returning favourites include the beloved animal displays, art and photography exhibitions, market stalls, diverse pavilions, food expo, camel and stagecoach rides and the ever-popular free circus guarantee there is literally something for everyone.

Whittlesea Agricultural Society President, Jayson Munro said, “We’re very pleased that we are managing to create a balance of new and tradition this year, while keeping our ticket sales at 2023 prices.

"As a show for both families and individuals, it is important to our volunteers that we provide a variety of entertainment to ensure everyone finds enjoyment from the show. "The show is getting close now, with entries open and tickets available, and it wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of our volunteers."

For those who prefer a physical copy, schedules can also be picked up at the show office, located at Gate 1, McPhees Road, Whittlesea.
