A NEW dairy farm jobs board will endeavour to simplify the job seeking process in an industry where 76 per cent of employers are experiencing difficulty sourcing labour, according to Dairy Australia.
A recent survey commissioned by the national dairy body found half of dairy farmers were currently looking for employees, ahead of the launch of a new, free online jobs board which is set to allow farmers to list vacancies and reach jobseekers directly.
Dairy Australia general manager regional services, Verity Ingham, said the initiative was perfect for employees passionate about working outdoors with animals.
"For farmers ready to start advertising for new workers, it's as quick and easy as submitting an online form with job vacancy details including any links to any existing online advertisements," she said.
"And for jobseekers, if you like working with animals, working outdoors, seek career progression, job variety and training and want job security – visit the online jobs board to see if there's something for you."
