THE Red Hill Show returned in March with the showgrounds transformed into a colourful, agricultural and entertainment spectacle for the whole family.
The 94th Show attracted around 15,000 visitors from the region, Melbourne and further afield to experience a day of gourmet food, liquor, livestock, many attractions, and star producers – the Mornington Peninsula on show.
With participation across all exhibits including many local schools, Scouts and Guides, entry numbers were over 2400.
Executive officer Rebecca Davis said livestock and apple orchards were what the Peninsula pioneers farmed in the early days and this heritage should be celebrated.
With the show date coinciding with National Cider Day, cider marquees were kept busy with workshops and public tastings featuring local producers including Mock Orchards, Seven Oaks, Camilla's Crush, Harts Farm, Eddies Cider and Cheeky Rascal.

The Golden Sausage Award decided by guest judge Paul Mercurio was hotly contested with 30 entries and won by Balnarring Village Meats.
Peter the sheep shearer worked hard all–day showing visitors the tricks of the trade, while the popular Futura Kelpies performances did not disappoint.
Record tractor and agricultural machinery exhibitors included working demonstrations by Gendore Tractors.
Increased sheep and cattle numbers were a show highlight.
Cattle steward Tim Hipkins said sponsorship from Lance Hammond's Robot Building Supplies and Victorian Farmers Federation was important in the show recovering cattle exhibitor numbers.
"This has improved breeder respect making the cattle show one of the best in regional Victoria," he said.
Ms Davis, said that the Red Hill A & H Society appreciated local producers supporting the show.
"As a not–for–profit organisation we also want to thank our volunteers who coordinate this event, and our major sponsors Mornington Peninsula Shire, The Ross Trust, 3MP Easy Music and Bendigo Bank, plus numerous community and business sponsors," she said.
