Operators invited to gain tourism insights

ALPINE Shire Council is inviting business operators across the region to a series of tourism update and networking events next week.

Attendees will be given the opportunity to learn about upcoming tourism plans and campaigns and how they can be used to inform their own plans to effectively market their business.

Council will also share reflections on the past 12 months, with Tourism North East (TNE) attending the evenings in Bright and Mount Beauty to provide valuable marketing advice.

Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, encouraged operators to take advantage of these events to network with other businesses across the region.

"When coupled with strategic insight from government organisations, operators can take advantage of what council and TNE are doing to maximise leads for their businesses," she said.

There will be four tourism and networking events taking place across the Alpine Shire: in Bright at the Alpine Hotel from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on Monday, February 24; in Harrietville at Mountain View Retreat from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on Tuesday, February 25; in Myrtleford at St Paul's Anglican Church Hall from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on Wednesday, February 26 and in Mount Beauty at Mountain Monk Brewers from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on Thursday, February 27.

All events will include a light supper.
